Our 12 Week Old Baby Cone

Baby Cone says "Hello!"
Lance and I went today for our 12 week appointment. Everything went great!! Baby Cone "Randy" (Lance's name for the baby) is measuring 2 inches right now and everything looked fine. The arms and legs are developed and Dr. Bills said he saw 10 fingers today, and the toes are not fully formed yet. We were amazed at how much Baby Cone was moving around! Baby Cone was moving so much that Dr. Bills could not get the measurements he needed! The baby finally cooperated and he was able to get the information he needed. It was amazing to watch. Baby Cone was kicking and flipping everywhere. I can't wait to feel Baby Cone kicking and moving. He said it will probably be week 18 before I can feel the movement.
I will continue to take the medication (Metformin) I was on for helping get Baby Cone here for the rest of the week. I am looking forward to being off this medication so I can return to a diet that is not so strict. As you all know, I love food and especially ice cream, so can't wait to go back to Dairy Queen! We have not been there since this summer, and that was a weekly event for us! This strict diet has been hard for me, but I know it has definitely been worth it!!

Lance and I are so thankful for all of your thoughts and prayers. This was a hard process for us to go through, but all your thoughts and prayers have made it so much easier. God's timing is not always our timing, as I have come to learn. Looking back, this timing could not have been more perfect. Continue to pray for our "Baby Cone".

Kim Murphy's Baby Shower "Murphy Twins"

Jackie, Kim, and Barbara
These are the baby blankets my mom and I made for the Murphy Twins.

Kim and Me

One of my friends from childhood, Kim Murphy is pregnant with twins, yes that is right twins!! She is having a boy and a girl, such a special blessing to have one of each. By looking at her you would never know she is having twins; she looks fabulous. They are hoping to have her hold off on delivering the babies until November. My mom was supposed to be going to this shower with me, but they had my dad's high school reunion in St. George, Utah, so I was on my own for the long drive to Covington!! My mom HATED to have to miss this. We will be going to dinner soon, so she can see Kim before the babies arrive. Barbara was so nice to invite Lance to come with me and hang out with the guys at her house. This was so nice, because I did not have to drive by myself. I have been so tired lately, so it worked out perfect! Lance drove and I slept! What a GREAT husband!! My mom and I made our handmade baby blankets for Kim; I think this has become our new trademark. They are so much work, but the end results are worth it; they are precious and sooooo soft!! Kim got so many cute things for her babies. I was taking notes the whole time so I will know what to register for. We all had a great time, as we always do at the Garceau family events. We can't wait to meet the Murphy Twins in person!

Ashley Lane's Baby Shower "Baby Henry"

Ashley, Me, and Henry's Blanket
(This is one of my favorites blankets. It is the first one we made with yellow and blue and it turned out so cute!! I hope Henry likes it as much as I do.)

The Girls: Kelley, Jackie, Ashley, Tara, and Me

We had a nice day at Ashley's shower for Baby Henry! Henry got some of the cutest things. He is so blessed to have such a wonderful mom and dad! Lance and I went to college with Ashley, but did not become friends with her and Jon until after college. We have become friends through Kelley Warnock. I am so glad we have met her and John through Kelley. We all have a great time together, and now we will have babies around the same age, so that will be fun too! Ashley is due in November, so now I have someone to call with all my questions.

Our 9 Week Old Baby Cone

Lance and I have been blessed with a little miracle, and we can't wait to meet him or her on April 15th. We are both feeling it is a girl for some reason, but we will see. After seeing the ultrasound, Lance was for sure that was one blessed little boy, but that is just the umbilical cord (HAHA...Wishful Thinking!!!) For now Lance has nicknamed the baby "Randy" and he calls the baby this daily!! He thought it was a perfect name because it could be a girl or boy name. Needless to say, I can't wait to change that name, but Lance is having fun with that name for now. There is never a dull moment around this house, Lance keeps me laughing daily! Lance and I went for our 9 week appointment on Monday, September 8th. This was such a special day for us both!! We were both very excited to see how much our baby had developed over the past nine weeks. When we had an ultrasound at 6 weeks all we saw was a little dot, so this 3D ultrasound was amazing to us both. We could not believe how developed the baby was after just nine weeks. We go back on September 29th for another ultrasound/appointment. The arms and legs should be fully developed at that point, so we can't wait to see that picture! We are still considered high risk, so he is continuing to see us every three weeks. Everything has gone fine so far, so we may not be high risk for long. Thank you all for keeping us in your prayers. We are so fortunate to have our family and friends praying for us each day. We thank God for you daily!!

We are now BLOGGERS!!

Okay, we are finally going to begin blogging so that our family and friends can experience our life with us. I always said I would start a blog once we had a baby, and since our new addition is coming on April 15th, I thought I would start familiarizing myself with the blogging world. This is a first for me, so it may take me a while, but I promise to keep it updated so you can see what we are up to. My cousin Kiley helped direct me in the direction to get a "cute" background!! I thought that was at least a good start. Now I just have to figure out how to load pictures from our digital camera and we will be all set. I know I am a little behind, but I will get there!! I have enjoyed keeping in touch with my cousins and friends that I don't get to see frequently through their blogs. Lance and I are looking forward to this new chapter in our lives and are excited to share these moments with all of you.
