4D Ultrasound--Davis is looking good!

We had a very busy day today. I had my second baby shower. Lance's mom and dad came down for the day. The guys stayed out the house to put up a ceiling fan and fix our stove while the girls went to the shower. We all had a great time. After the shower we went to lunch with both of our families. It was so fun to have everyone there. Then we Lance's parents, my parents, and my brother Justin went to see a 4D ultrasound of Davis.

We had the best time, I could not believe how much Davis had changed since we last had an ultrasound. He has filled out so much. We think he is just beautiful. It was so neat to see him moving around and looking right at the camera. We could see his eyes and mouth open and shut. He kept chewing on the umbilical cord. We could even tell that he had hair which I did not know we would be able to see. So it looks like he has really chubby cheeks and lots of hair.

Our official due date is April 15th, but we were measuring about a week early, April 8th. Well, today we had a little surprise. We were guessing how much Davis weighed. We were all guessing in the 3 pound range........and guess what he weighed.........4 pounds and 7 ounces!! He is measuring 32 and a half weeks right now, which puts him here on March 30th. We have our 32 week ultrasound in a week and a half so we will see what the doctor says.....but I am a little excited that we may get to meet Davis earlier than we thought. I cannot wait for him to get here. But on the other hand, I cannot help and think of all the things Lance and I have to do before he gets here. Continue to pray for a healthy little boy! We are going for our hospital tour tomorrow. We had a wonderful weekend and we know how truly blessed we are with our little gift from God!

Second Baby Shower

This shower was hosted by my friends Lori Bolick and Jane Ramsey. We did a breakfast shower at 9:00 which was perfect. I invited teacher friends from school and parents that I still keep in touch with. It was such a fun shower and good time to catch up with everyone; especially since I am at a new school I do not get to see these friends nearly enough. I had the best time today. Lori and Jane did a fantastic job! The shower was wonderful and the company was perfect.

My mom made this for our shower last week and it was so cute we just had to use it again.

Lori and JanePrecious diaper cake! Lori's mom Peggy made this. I think it is way too cute.

Opening presents.........what a crowd! With all these teachers there was never a quiet moment.

I LOVED this picture frame!!

This was from Lori and Jane. It was so cute. It is a board covered in fabric that matches our curtains. You can use it to put pictures on. They placed all kinds of gift cards to our favorite stores so we can treat ourselves. They even thought of Lance.....he had a golf gift card on there. What a cute idea. :)

My sister in law, Anna, my mom, and my mother in law, Gail. It was so nice to have all of them at the shower today. Family is so important to us. I don't know what we would do without the support of both of our families. We LOVE you all!!

Baby Nursery Update

The nursery is pretty close to being finished. Now all we need is Davis. :) Our bumper is not in the crib because I am getting extenders put on the ties. They were not long enough to tie around the crib. Our friend Janet gave us the letters DAVIS and they matched everything perfectly. The look awesome over the bed!
These are the curtains that Lance's aunt Tricia made for us. Didn't they turn out wonderful. They really brought the whole room together.

I have dreamed of the way my nursery would look forever. I guess kind of like little girls dream of their wedding day forever. The room came out better than my dreams. I LOVE it!! I am so thankful for everyone that helped us put it together. Davis' room was put together with lots of LOVE!

First Baby Shower

Beth Edwards, Susan Foster, Me,
Kelley Warnock, Julie Massey, and Mom
January 31st was our first baby shower for Davis. It was so much fun!! This shower was given by some of my best friends and my mom. Beth Edwards, and Susan Collins were friends from college. Kelley Warnock is a friend I met after college even though we were at Berry College at the same time. Julie Massey is my best friend from high school. Hard to believe that we have kept in touch all these years. It is so important to have great friends, and I have to say Lance and I have been blessed with the best friends ever!! Friends are truly a gift from god. I don't know what you would do without them.

We had a drop in shower from 11 - 1 for family friends and girlfriends from high school and college. It was so nice to see everyone; especially those who I do not get to see too often. Davis received some really nice things........he is already spoiled and he has not even arrived yet. Everyone brought a book to the shower instead of a card. That was my favorite part. I guess that is the teacher in me. Everyone signed their book so now Davis has his own library started. He better LOVE reading!!

Isn't this the cutest cake ever?? This Cake was to DIE for!! First of all it was so cute that no one wanted to eat it; but once we FINALLY cut it we were so glad!! It was wonderful!! Sorry if you left the shower before we cut the cake......you missed out! :)

The cake matches Davis' room decor. :)

Once I brought all the baby stuff home it really hit us that our life is about to change forever. We cannot wait to begin this new chapter in our lives. Thanks to everyone who came and helped with this shower. It was wonderful!
