Christmas Mountain Trip with the Lightles

Each year, Lance's Mom's side of the family, the Lightles, celebrates Christmas with a weekend in the mountains. This is such a fun tradition that we look forward to all year. It is such a fun time to have the whole family together and create memories that we will treasure forever. This year was Davis' first year, well, I guess he was there last year in utero...ha! Davis was so good the whole trip. He just went with the flow and was very social. He just loves people and is so happy except when he is tired or hungry. Next year he will be keeping us all busy running all over the place. This year we stayed at Black Rock State Park in Mountain City Georgia. It was FREEZING this year, probably the coldest trip we have had. We are usually outside more and go on walks and hikes, but that was not the case this year. I love this trip, but it always makes me miss my extended family that lives out west. I would love to get together with all my uncles, cousins, and grandparents throughout the year. As always we had a blast and can't wait for next year!

Davis' first sight of snow in North Carolina......he was not to sure about it but he did let us take a few pictures. I am not sure he knows what to do with himself since he is all bundled up. He could barely move!

Davis' newest trick is sticking out his tongue........I know it is cute now, but it will not be cute for long. I am sure he will have a new trick soon and forget about his tongue.

Me and my Sister in Law, Anna. It is so nice to finally have a sister to hang out with.......so different than hanging out with a brother. I love my brother and brother in law, but sometimes you just need a sister!

Fun times by the fire. Lance's uncles are so funny, my mouth always hurts after being around them for a weekend because they keep you laughing at all times. Lance and the guys especially have fun telling their "guy" stories after the ladies all go inside. The fire time is Lance's favorite time of the trip.
